BLACK NIGHTSHADE

An architectural counter-project to the city’s plan to erase a wild forest in favor of a man-made recreational space.

Romainville, France

The design preserves the forest as it grew, untamed, alive, self-organized. A minimal line of architecture threads gently through the trees: an aromatherapy center that studies and celebrates the very plants already growing there.

An invitation to breathe with the landscape, not build over it.
