Meryem Lahlou is a Moroccan architect and filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her works translate the use of spatial design as a medium of storytelling to question and interpret the meaning of society. She narrates a constellation of frailties in diverse and undulating humanities.

She observes. She listens. She contemplates.
She transcribes, she narrates.
Humanity. Humanities.

Meryem is a human who explores the anxieties of her species.

Her recent work includes the short animated film Bare Bones which was selected at several film festivals including International Film Festival Rotterdam, Slamdance, Florida Film Festival, Motel/X, Sydney Science Fiction Film Festival ...
